What to Expect at a Newborn Session with Molly Dockery Photography
I would absolutely love to photograph your family in my Studio in Fairview, just 10 minutes from Asheville, NC. You might wonder what to expect at a Newborn Session with Molly Dockery Photography. My hope is that your expectations are exceeded and you absolutely love our time together.
Our session will start with styling. Once you arrive at the studio, I will show you to my Studio Wardrobe. You will be able to choose from a selection of beautiful gowns and dresses that are designed specifically for Maternity and Postpartum photography. If you have older children, I have many outfit options for older sibling in my Studio Wardrobe! This is all provided as a part of your session, at no extra charge.
While you are getting dressed, I will undress and wrap your newborn and start taking a few pictures while you are finishing up in the dressing area. Once you are ready, we will get started with our session!
Often, a new baby will want to feed either at the beginning or in the middle of a session. That is perfectly fine! The session time includes all the snuggling and feeding breaks that we might need to take to keep your little one happy.
Your session will include a mix of family pictures, individual pictures of you and your baby, siblings with their new brother or sister and the baby on their own. When there are toddler siblings, I allow them to come and go as they please. If they decide they want to snuggle their sibling at any point, I welcome it! It makes for the sweetest pictures.
All together a session generally lasts around 1.5-2.5 hours. When your session is complete, you will see a sneak peek on Instagram within a few days. Your entire gallery will be delivered within 14 days for you to make your final selections and purchase your package.
